Amazingly this vintage dropped waist dress has never been worn and still has its original paper hang tag as well as a price tag for $18.98, which was a fortune in the 1940s! This dress has fantastic details from the fitted long sleeved bodice with shoulder pads and a built in low pleated belt that becomes a bustle type peplum in the back.
Front closes with round pearl buttons down to the waist and the back has 15 zipper that opens at the waist. The skirt is quite full and gathered under the peplum.
Even the print is lovely with its large stylized peonies and other flowers in fuchsia, yellow and white with green fernlike leaves and berries on a deep black background.
Original paper tag says Jonathan Logan size 11. It has generous armholes.
